About the Forum

The Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 (TIF 2026) will take place in Ashgabat on October 1–2, 2026. Organized by Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Finance and Economy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with Turkmen Congress, the forum will bring together investors, innovators, financial institutions, policymakers, and industry leaders for one of the region’s most significant investment events. The forum will take place in the year marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, adding particular significance to this major international investment gathering. Strategically positioned at the crossroads of Eurasia, Turkmenistan offers a compelling combination of natural wealth, untapped potential, and long-term ambition. With the world’s fourth-largest natural gas reserves, a steadily diversifying economy, and major infrastructure modernization underway, the country is opening new opportunities for partners seeking to participate in its next chapter of growth.

Daewoo E&C Eyes Modernisation of 250 km of the Karakum Canal

South Korea's Daewoo E&C has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkmenistan's State Committee for Water Management on cooperation in modernising the Karakum Canal. The company is considering taking part in the reconstruction and engineering upgrade of a section approximately 250 kilometres long. The document was signed by Daewoo E&C CEO Lee Kang-seok and Committee Chairman Durdy Gendzhiev on the sidelines of the Turkmen-Korean Business Forum in Seoul

Serdar Berdimuhamedov Urges Korean and Central Asian Business to Build a Network of Multimodal Corridors

The first Central Asia – Republic of Korea Business Summit, held in Seoul on 16 September, concluded with the signing of a Joint Statement and a package of bilateral and multilateral memoranda. Addressing the forum, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov named transport and logistics as the strategic priority of cooperation and called on business circles to form a single network of multimodal corridors.

Businessmen from Turkey have purchased bleached household gauze from Turkmen entrepreneurs for a total of 21,000.00 US dollars. The deals were concluded on the foreign market during exchange trading on Wednesday, 16 September, as reported on the website of Turkmenistan's State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Huawei Proposes Pilot Projects on AI Adoption in Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Industry

China's Huawei has proposed that Turkmenistan jointly implement pilot projects on production data integration and the adoption of artificial intelligence in the oil and gas sector. The proposal came out of talks with a delegation of the Turkmennebit and Turkmengaz state concerns, as reported on the website of the Turkmennebit state concern.
