Nicolas Ramseyer, Chairman of the Swiss International Business Council, spoke at the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025), which is taking place in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone. In his speech, he emphasized the shared values and complementary nature of the two countries' economies.

Nicolas Ramseyer noted that his experience as an entrepreneur and politician demonstrates the importance of a comprehensive approach to issues of stability and sustainability. He emphasized that building a more stable future requires considering not only the business perspective but also the legislative one.

‘I sincerely believe that, in a certain sense, Switzerland and Turkmenistan share common values. Both countries believe in neutrality, stability, and prosperity through full cooperation. At the same time, our economies are highly complementary. Switzerland is a country with developed high technology and capital, while Turkmenistan is a country rich in resources, offering enormous opportunities’, he stated.

The Swiss representative outlined specific requests he receives from business council members. He highlighted Turkmenistan's potential in renewable energy (solar and wind), where Switzerland can provide investment and expertise.

He also noted opportunities for cooperation in reducing methane emissions, where Swiss engineers are world leaders. According to Ramseyer, the development of the Galkynysh gas field is also attracting investor interest. He emphasized that all these areas are not just dreams, but concrete proposals for joint implementation.
